Electrolysis vs. Laser

Electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal recognized by both the AMA and the FDA and has been practiced for more than 120 years. Laser is considered hair reduction and is not permanent.

Electrolysis works on all hair and skin types whereas laser does not effectively work on all types, especially non-pigmented hairs such as gray, red or blond. Laser requires careful attention to those with dark skin types or those who are tan. The effectiveness of Electrolysis has been proven and testified to by scientists and physicians in hundreds of medical reports and articles over the last century. However, there is no data to confirm how long laser hair reduction lasts nor its level of effectiveness.

If you are considering permanent hair removal, the electrologists will be happy to offer you a free analysis and consultation in order to answer any questions pertaining to any and all aspects of electrolysis.

Excess or Unwanted Body Hair Growth

There are various causes of unwanted hair, many of which are not abnormal. Heredity predispositions, such as race or ethnic background, may determine the distribution and amount of hair. Puberty, menopause and pregnancy are normal systemic changes that may affect hair growth. Some medications, stress, or malfunctions of the endocrine system may also contribute to the growth of superfluous hair.

Women often have hair removed from their hairlines, foreheads, brows, cheeks, lips, chins, throat, arms, underarms, fingers, chest, breasts, abdomen, thighs, legs and toes. Men may have hair removed from their foreheads, nape lines, brows, nose, cheeks, ears, chest, back and hands.
